Day 1: Arrive Chennai - Proceed to Pondicherry
Upon arrival at Chennai, you will embark on a scenic drive to Pondicherry, one of the nine Union Territories of India. This former French colony offers a unique blend of traditional Indian culture and French architecture, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a serene and culturally rich experience. After checking in at your hotel, spend the evening at the Seaside Promenade, a beautifully maintained area where you can enjoy the refreshing sea breeze and soak in the tranquil atmosphere while relaxing at one of the many cafes along the promenade. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.
Day 2: Pondicherry Sightseeing
Today, explore the cultural and spiritual highlights of Pondicherry. Start your day with a visit to Auroville, an experimental township where people from diverse backgrounds live together in harmony. At Auroville, visit the Auroville Visitors Centre and take in the serene views from Matri Mandir's View Point, a symbol of universal peace. Afterward, return to the town and visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, a spiritual community dedicated to the teachings of Sri Aurobindo. Continue your exploration with a visit to the French War Memorial, a poignant tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the First World War. Afterward, visit the Sri Manakula Vinayagar Temple, an ancient temple devoted to Lord Ganesha. Day 3: Pondicherry - Mahabalipuram Sightseeing - Chennai
After checking out from your hotel, proceed to Mahabalipuram, a coastal town renowned for its historical significance and architectural marvels. Mahabalipuram, also known as Mamallapuram, was a prominent city during the Pallava dynasty (3rd - 9th century BC) and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival, check in at your hotel and begin exploring the stunning Shore Temple, an outstanding example of Pallava art that overlooks the Bay of Bengal. Visit the intricate Cave Temples, marvel at the balanced rock formation known as Krishna's Butter Ball, and explore the Five Rathas, a group of monolithic rock-cut temples, each carved from a single stone. After your sightseeing tour in Mahabalipuram, continue your journey to Chennai. Enroute, visit Dakshinachitra, an open-air living museum that showcases the art, architecture, crafts, and cultural traditions of South India. Upon arrival in Chennai, check in at your hotel. How payment works
- INR. 5000/- Per Person Advance at the time of tour booking. (Non Refundable)
- Complete 50% amount of total tour cost within 8 days after booking
- Balance payment should be done 20 days prior to the travel date.
- Full Payment for Train/ Flight tickets booking.
If you need to cancel
- If cancellations are made 60-30 days before the start date of the trip, 30% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- If cancellations are made within 0-30 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
